1. A number of syntactic changes to rename in iline with DfT

    - Schema Domain renamed to be CycleNetXChange.org.uk
    
    - Namespace changed  be CycleNetXchange.org.uk/cnm
    
    - Root element renamed from CnmXml to CycleNetXChange
    
    Comments updated

2. New attribute values

    - cycleAdvisoryQualifier / quietness  value added "Traffic Free"
    
    - environmentalQualifier /ClassificationType values added "Bridge Over River", "Bridge Over Canal" "Bridge Over Railway" , Aquaduct, Parkland "

2008/04/24  Notes on the 02a draft of CNM

1. Starting point was the ITN MasterMap schemas as published on the Ordnance survey Site  

3. Schemas wre developed using GML 3.1 - then chnaged to use gml 2.1 as currently used by OS ITN 7.0.0 but also included  

2. The ITN schemas cover only the ITN road network. There is no official  ITN PN schema covering paths 

   * To address this  an additional file OSDNFeatures-PN-RI.xsd was created with a PN schema from specifcation, some sample ITN2 data, together with the PN design in the CNM document

   * The schemas follows closely the style of ITN       

   *  This required some minor mods to the Enumerated values in the base OS SimpleTypes
  
    
4. The  Cnm  schema comprises a root and six sub packages

   * Convenience top level schema  - 
    suggest use this as entry point as it lists all the main model elements explicitly       
           CycleNet.xsd
           
   * Corresponding road elements can be found at

   * Corresponding path elements can be found at

   * Cycle  Specifc elements can be found at

5. Encoding

   * Follows OS ITN conventions in most cases.
   
   * All the CNM elements are commented , but not the OS ITN or gml ones w
