Welcome to RtigXmlRtigXml is an XML protocol to allow distributed computers to exchange real-time information about buses. It is now part of the SIRI standard
The protocol is a UK standard sponsored by the UK Real Time Interest Group. It builds on two other UK standards NaPTAN and the National Public Transport Gazetteer, and is part of RTIG's architecture for real time information. For further information on RTIG see the RTIG site. The RtigXml schema is designed as an extension to the Trident schema, a Transmodel based general purpose model and XML schema for public transport information. The real time sensitivity criteria are based on the German VDV 454 standard of the Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen. RtigXMl was originally released as a 1.1 schema in 2003. An interim 1.2 version was released in 1Q 2005 with minor modifications to bridge the transition to RtigXml 2.0, which is the UK implementation of the CEN European SIRI standard. The final draft of SIRI v1.0 has been available since November 2005 ratified, and was ratified in 2006. SIRI (RtigXml 2.0) should be used for all ongoing development. RTIG 1.* is now deprecated and support is not available. RTIGXml v2.0 / SIRI v1.0
The RtigXml protocol is an open system and is platform independent. |
