SIRI uses a systematic versioning scheme. For example the version 1.0 schema is found at http://www.siri.org.uk/schema/1.0/siri.xsd. To use the SIRI schema, you may either reference the URL for the appropriate version, or use a local copy held on your own machine, which you can downloaded from this site. Packages Siri uses a modular package structure, with a separate sub-schema for
each main service. Click on the image below for a detailed dependency
graph.
NamespacesTo overcome earlier tool limitations, the original 1.0 SIRI schema used a single chameleon namespace (http://www.siri.org.uk/. ) for all include packages . Subsequent version of the schema (1.2a, 1.3..) use an explicit namespace for each siri package (http://www.siri.org.uk/siri) and respect the namespaces of other packages eg ifopt." . Users are recommended to use a version of SIRI with the explicit namespaces as this now works better with tools. .Downloadable versions of SIRI XML SchemaThe following recent and upcoming versions of SIRI schemas & documents may be accessed online, and also downloaded in the formats shown.
