This page makes available the UTMC XML schemas.

It is a holding page for use during development and consultation. The schema contents will ultimately be moved to the UTMC site under the definitive url http://www.utmc.uk.com/schema/...

There are two separate schemas, both sharing a common set of representations of XML data objects.

UtmcXml SIRI exchange schema - for dynamic exchange of data using pub sub or request response. This embeds UTMC data objects within SIRI requests. (utmc_siri.xsd)
UtmcXml publication schema - for the asynchronous exchange of data. This embeds UTMC data objects directly in a simple wrapper ( (utmc_publictaioni.xsd))

Some basic example documents are provided.

The UtmcXml Handbook provides an informal overview of the representation and the use of the above schemas . (An official version of this document is likely to be developed by UTMC) .

Namespaces

The same namespace is used for all versions of the UtmcXML Schema: http://www.utmc.uk.com/utmc

Currently the schemas are hosted at Kizoom but will ultimately be available at http://www.utmc.uk.com/schema/...

Versioning

UTMC uses a systematic versioning scheme similar to that of SIRI and other UK GovTalk XML standards. A separate subdirectory is used for each release.

For example when officially released the version 1.0 schemas will be found at the following root

To use the SIRI schema, you may either reference the URL for the appropriate version, or use a local copy held on your own machine, which you can download from this site.

Subschemas are versioned. Within the directory referencing is relative.

Packages

UtmcXml uses a modular package structure, with a separate sub-schema for each main service. See the handbook for the below for a detailed dependency graph.
